WHY THIS JOURNEY

The loudest weekend on the Riviera, experienced from the quietest address in the harbor.

Race week in Monaco is famously hard to do well. Hotels sell out a year ahead, the roads close around the circuit, and getting from a terrace to a table can take an hour. The people who enjoy it most aren't staying in town at all. They arrive by water, watch from the best seats, and leave by tender when the crowds start to move.

Amangati is Aman's first ocean yacht: 47 suites, every one with a private terrace, two helipads and a two-deck spa. This sailing was built around the race and anchors in Monte Carlo through the weekend. 2027 is also the first time Monaco hosts a Sprint, which means three days of competitive running instead of one. Few people will ever have seen the Grand Prix this way, and none of them before now.

MONACO SPRINT WEEKEND
THE JOURNEY

Day by day

THURSDAY - FRIDAY, JUNE 3 - 4 • MONTE CARLO

The principality changes shape.

Thursday is the last calm day before race week takes over Monte Carlo: grandstands going up, barriers along the harbor, the city's streets turning into a circuit. Walk it before it closes, with a guide who knows every corner by name.

Friday the cars come out: practice, then Sprint Qualifying. You watch from The Paddock Club, then return by tender for dinner aboard, with the harbor lit up around you.

SATURDAY, J U N E 5 · SPRINT AND QUALIFYING

Two races in one day.

The first Sprint race ever run in Monaco, then Grand Prix Qualifying. In Monaco, Saturday decides more than anywhere else on the calendar: overtaking is so rare that the grid order is close to the result.

The afternoon is yours: a treatment in the spa, the pool, or the marina at the stern. The evening is for the parties, or for the quiet of your own terrace while the harbor celebrates around you.

MA Y 3 1 – J U N E 2 · V E N C E

Quiet before the noise.

A private car meets you at Nice Côte d'Azur and climbs thirty minutes into the hills to Château Saint-Martin, an Oetker Collection hotel set on the ruins of a Templar fortress. From here, Monaco is a glint on the horizon. The first day is for sleep and the pool. On the second, lunch on the terrace at La Colombe d'Or in Saint-Paul-de-Vence, beneath the Picassos and Mirós the artists once left to pay for their meals, and an hour at the Fondation Maeght if you'd like it.

WEDNESDAY J U N E 2, 2027 · V E N C E

Aboard Amangati.

A short transfer down to the harbor in Nice. Your suite host, assigned to you for the whole voyage, already knows how you take your coffee and which side of the bed is yours. The first evening is unhurried: the yacht slips east along the coast, and dinner is Mediterranean at Alira or Japanese at Akari, whichever suits the mood.

MONDAY, J U N E 7 · NICE

Home, without the rush.

Most of race week leaves on Sunday night, in traffic. You leave Monday morning, after breakfast on your terrace, with a private transfer to Nice Côte d'Azur and flights timed with a generous buffer.

Or stay on. Amangati sails the Italian Riviera next, Nice to Livorno via Portofino, and the suite can often be held through.

SUNDAY, JUNE 6 • RACE DAY

The Grand Prix de Monaco.

Seventy-eight laps through the streets, the most famous race in the sport. A late breakfast aboard, then the tender in to your seats at Paddock Club well before the roads close.

When the checkered flag falls and a hundred thousand people try to leave at once, you take the tender home instead. Dinner aboard Aman Grill.
